The revenue from each card pack purchase is funneled directly into the prize pools. Each event will have its own prize pool held in a distributed, trust-minimized and secure escrow. This means that no central authority can tamper with the funds. It also means that winners get paid transparently and securely when an Upshot event resolves.

When the outcome of an event is decided/ resolved, the winners get paid. Holders of cards tied to the correct prediction can redeem their share of the cash prize pool instantly and transparently.
